The City of Brantford offers a variety of day camps and courses this summer for children and youth

Summer Day Camps

BRANTFORD, ON – The City of Brantford is pleased to announce that Summer Day Camps will run from July 4 to September 1, 2023 for children ages 4 to 15. In addition, Woodman Park Community Centre, 491 Grey Street, will offer Youth Leadership Development Programs for youth ages 13 to 16. Online registration begins at 7:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 12, 2023 at brantford.ca/Activenet.

“The City’s recreation team has been working hard planning quality, fun and engaging summer day camp experiences for children and youth across the city,” says Lori-Dawn Cavin, Manager, Community Recreation and Events.

Registration is required and limited spots are available at each location. Registration begins online through Brantford.ca/Activenet or in-person at the Wayne Gretzky Sports Centre on Wednesday, April 12 at 7:30 a.m.  You can also register at Doug Snooks Eagle Place, T.B.Costain/SC Johnson or Woodman Park Community Centres on April 12 during regular operating hours.

Financial assistance is available for those who qualify through the Can We Help program. For Can We Help, please reference the financial assistance chart at Brantford.ca/RecreationFinancialAssistance to determine eligibility and fill out the Financial Assistance Application at Brantford.ca/FinancialAssistanceApplication to apply. Day Camps locations and details

All camps and courses are offered from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with free extended care from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. The cost varies from $125 to $225 per week.

The Branlyn Community Centre Summer Day Camp, 238 Brantwood Park Road, is for children ages 4 to 10. Campers can enjoy a variety of games, activities, crafts and more with trips to Bridle Plath splash pad weekly, weather permitting. In addition, this location will offer a Youth Day Camp for youth ages 11 to 15. Youth can expect to have a week of fun trips and adventure designed just for them!

The Bell Homestead National Historic Site Summer Day Camp, 94 Tutela Heights Road, is for  children ages 4 to 11. Campers can enjoy making crafts, playing games, making food and fun holiday themes each week.

The Doug Snooks Eagle Place Community Centre Summer Day Camp, 333 Erie Avenue, is for children ages 4 to 12. Campers can enjoy a variety of games, activities, crafts and more with trips to Tutela Park splash pad weekly, weather permitting.

The Earl Haig Family Fun Park Summer Day Camp, 101 Market Street South, is for children ages 6 to 12. Campers can enjoy daily swimming (weather permitting), a variety of fun games, activities, crafts and more.

The Shellards Area/St.Gabriel School Summer Day Camp, 14 Flanders Drive, is for children ages 4 to 12. Campers can enjoy a variety of games, activities, crafts and more with trips to Edith Monture Park weekly, weather permitting.

The T.B. Costain/SC Johnson Community Centre Summer Day Camp, 16 Morrell Street, is for children ages 4 to 12 years. Campers can enjoy a variety of games, activities, crafts and more.

The Wayne Gretzky Sports Centre Summer Day Camp, 254 North Park Street, is for children ages 6 to 12. Campers can enjoy recreational swimming daily, outdoor activities, games, crafts and more.

The Woodman Park Community Centre Summer Day Camp, 491 Grey St, is for children ages 4 to 12. Campers can enjoy a variety of games, activities, crafts and more. In addition, this location will offer a Youth Leadership Development Program for youth ages 13 to 16. This two-week leader-in-training program will include one week of in-class training and a second week utilizing skills learned in a City-run Day Camp. High School Community Service Volunteer Hours will apply and registrants will receive a special certificate from the Mayor’s office for those who have completed both Level 1 and Level 2.
