City offers Summer Day Camps for children 4 to 14
BRANTFORD, ON – The City of Brantford is pleased to announce that Summer Day Camps will run from June 28 to September 3, 2021 for children ages 4 to 14. COVID-19 public health and safety protocols will be in place, including enhanced cleaning measures, physical distancing, face coverings, symptom screening and hand washing protocols.
“We are excited to offer a safe summer camp experience for children and youth this summer. Parents and caregivers can be assured that the safety of their children is the priority”, says Lori-Dawn Cavin, Manager, Community Recreation and Events. “The pandemic has been especially difficult on families and children, and we look forward to providing safe spaces for children to be physically active, creative and social.”
Pre-registration is required through Brantford.ca/RecConnect and limited spots are available. Registration begins online on Wednesday, June 16 at 8:00 a.m. COVID-19 public health and safety protocols including, daily screening and sign-in, use of face coverings, enhanced cleaning and handwashing and physical distancing will be implemented. Please note all programming is dependent on public health guidelines and modifications may be required.

Day Camps locations and details
Bell Homestead National Historic Site, located at 94 Tutela Heights Road, will offer a World Explorers Summer Day Camp to children ages 4 to 12 years from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Campers can enjoy a variety of physically distanced games, activities, crafts and more. Free extended care will be available from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Branlyn Community Centre, located at 238 Brantwood Park Road, will offer a Summer Day Camp for children ages 4 to 12 years from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Campers can enjoy a variety of physically distanced games, activities, crafts and more. Free extended care will be available from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Doug Snooks Eagle Place Community Centre, located at 333 Erie Ave, will offer a Summer Day Camp for children ages 4 to 12 years from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Campers can enjoy a variety of physically distanced games, activities, crafts and more. Free extended care will be available from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Ryerson Heights School, located at 33 Dowdan Ave, will offer a Summer Day Camp for children ages 4 to 12 years from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Campers can enjoy a variety of physically distanced games, activities, crafts and more. Free extended care will be available from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Wayne Gretzky Sports Centre, located at 254 N Park St, will offer a Summer Day Camp for children ages 6 to 12 years from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Campers can enjoy physically distanced outdoor games, crafts and more. Please note that recreational swims will not be offered as part of camp this year. Free extended care will be available from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Woodman Cainsville School, located at 491 Grey St, will offer a Summer Day Camp for children ages 9 to 14 years from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Campers can enjoy a variety of physically distanced games, activities, crafts and more. This camp will also walk to Mohawk Park to use park amenities weekly. Please note swimming will not be offered in 2021. Free extended care will be available from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Woodman Park Community Centre, located at 491 Grey St, will offer a Summer Day Camp for children ages 4 to 8 and 9 to 14 years(at Woodman Cainsville School from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Campers can enjoy a variety of physically distanced games, activities, crafts and more. Please note swimming will not be offered in 2021. Free extended care will be available from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
