City of Brantford facilities 2025 Easter weekend schedules

BRANTFORD, ON – For the public’s information, the following schedule changes will be in place during the upcoming Easter long weekend from Friday, April 18 to Monday, April 21, 2025. There are no changes to regularly scheduled garbage, recycling and green bin collection. Please place your waste at the curb by 7 a.m.

Brantford City Hall, Customer Service and Parking Enforcement Office

Brantford City Hall, Customer Service and the Parking Enforcement Office will be closed at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 17 and reopen on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, at 8:30 a.m. While closed, all customer service calls will be taken by the City’s after-hours provider that can be reached by calling the City’s Customer Service number at 519-759-4150.

Brantford Transit and Brantford Lift

Brantford Lift and Brantford Transit will have no service on Friday, April 18 or Sunday, April 20. Brantford Transit and Brantford lift will have regular service on Saturday, April 19 and Monday, April 21.

Bell Homestead National Historic Site

The Bell Homestead National Historic Site will be closed from Friday, April 18 to Monday, April 21.

City of Brantford Community Centres and Arenas

Beckett Recreation Centre will be closed Friday, April 18 to Monday, April 21.
Branlyn Community Centre will be open for rentals only on Saturday, April 19 and closed on Friday, April 18, Sunday, April 20 and Monday, April 21.
Brantford and District Civic Centre will be open for rentals only from Friday, April 18 to Sunday, April 20 and then reopen for regular hours on Monday, April 21.
Doug Snooks Eagle Place Community Centre will be open for rentals and advanced polls for the election only on Saturday, April 19. The facility will be open for advanced polls for the election only on Friday, April 18, Sunday, April 20 and Monday, April 21 from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Brantford Public Libraries

All City of Brantford library branches will be closed on Friday, April 18, Sunday, April 20 and Monday, April 21. Self-serve kiosks are available at the Wayne Gretzky Sports Centre and Sobeys with a valid Brantford Library card.

The main branch and the St. Paul Branch will be open on Saturday, April 19 from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Both branches will reopen for regular hours on Tuesday, April 22.

Wayne Gretzky Sports Centre

The Wayne Gretzky Sports Centre will be open for advanced polls for the election only in the gymnasium on Friday, April 18 from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. The centre will be open with regular hours and schedules on Saturday, April 19 and Monday, April 21.

On Sunday, April 20, the following schedule will be in place:

Weight Room is open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Drop-in Sports has regular schedules
Pool is open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Length Swim 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
- Hydrotherapy Pool Drop-in 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
- Family Swim 12 p.m. to 2 p.m.
- Public Swim 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
- Kid Care: closed
- Fitness classes are not scheduled on Sunday, April 20
- Swim lessons are not scheduled on Sunday, April 20
- Indoor track: open from 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m.
- Arenas are open for rentals
- Discover Brantford Desk is open from 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m.
- Brantford and Area Sports Hall of Recognition is open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Walter Gretzky Municipal Golf Course and Learning Centre and Wally’s Grill and Patio

The Walter Gretzky Municipal Golf Course and Learning Centre, driving range, Pro Shop and Wally’s Grill and Patio open for the season on Friday, April 18. Tee off times begin at 7:30 a.m. with the last tee time at 6:30 p.m. Tee times can be booked online at www.Brantford.ca/Golf. The Pro Shop and driving range are open from 7:30 a.m. to dusk. Wally’s Grill and Patio is open for anyone to enjoy family-friendly fare from 10 a.m. to dusk.

Mohawk Street Landfill

The Mohawk Street Landfill will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday, April 18, Saturday, April 19 and Monday, April 21. The landfill will be closed on Sunday, April 20.

Brantford Farmers' Market

The Brantford Farmers' Market will be open on Thursday, April 17 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Saturday, April 19 from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. and closed on Friday, April 18 and Sunday, April 20.

Cemetery Services

The Brantford Cemetery Main Office will be closed at 4 p.m. on Thursday, April 17 and reopen on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, at 8 a.m.

Ontario Works Brantford-Brant Main Office

The Ontario Works Brantford-Brant main office at 225 Colborne Street will be closed from Friday, April 18 to Monday, April 21.
