City of Brantford 2024 Labour Day schedule changes

BRANTFORD, ON – For the public’s information, the following schedule changes will be in place during the upcoming Labour Day Holiday on Monday, September 2, 2024. There are no changes to the collection of regularly scheduled green bin, garbage and recycling.

Brantford City Hall at 58 Dalhousie Street will close at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, August 30, 2024 and reopen on Tuesday, September 3 at 8:30 a.m. While closed, all customer service calls will be routed to the City’s after-hours provider.

The following facilities and services will be operating on Monday, September 2, 2024:

  • Earl Haig Family Fun Park: open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Pools close at 5:30 p.m. (admission fees apply)
  • Landfill site: open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Walter Gretzky Golf Course and Pro Shop: tee times begin at 7 a.m. with the last tee time at 6:30 p.m. Tee times can be booked online at Brantford.ca/Golf. The Pro Shop is also open from 6:30 a.m. to dusk.
  • Wally’s Grill and Patio: everyone welcome to enjoy family-friendly fare from 10 a.m. to dusk (located at the Walter Gretzky Municipal Golf Course
  • Woodman Pool: (admission fees apply)
    • Length Swim: 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
    • Family Swim: 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m.
    • Public Swim: 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The following City facilities are closed on Monday, September 2, 2024:

  • Beckett Adult Leisure Centre
  • Bell Homestead National Historic Site
  • Branlyn Community Centre
  • Brantford City Hall
  • Brantford and District Civic Centre
  • Brantford Lift: no service
  • Brantford Public Library (Main Branch and St. Paul Branch)
  • Brantford Transit: no service
  • Doug Snooks Eagle Place Community Centre
  • Lions Park Arena
  • Parking Enforcement Office inside City Hall
  • T.B. Costain/SC Johnson Community Centre
  • Wayne Gretzky Sports Centre (including Brantford and Area Sports Hall of Recognition and Discover Brantford Desk)
  • Woodman Park Community Centre (Woodman Pool is open)
  • Ontario Works Brantford at 225 Colborne Street
