Brantford Immigration Partnership to host Newcomer Welcome Day for new Canadians

BRANTFORD, ON – The Brantford Immigration Partnership (BIP) is pleased to invite new Canadians living in Brantford and members of the public to Newcomer Welcome Day on Wednesday, August 21, 2024 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Mohawk Park Pavilion, located at 51 Lynnwood Drive. This family-friendly event will feature an information fair where attendees can learn about key programs and services available in the community, while enjoying food, refreshments, and entertainment.

“We are very excited to once again host our Newcomer Welcome Day in Mohawk Park,” says David Vujasinovich, Community Initiatives Coordinator at the City of Brantford. “The goal of this event is to connect newcomers within the community and share valuable information about programs and services offered by our partners across all sectors.”

Children are welcome to bring their bathing suits and cool off in the Sprinklemania Splash Pad. Food and refreshments will be available, while supplies last.

“Supporting new Canadians and their families is an important priority of our Inclusive Community Plan,” says Mayor Kevin Davis. “On behalf of City Council, we’re proud to see so many community partners come together to showcase Brantford as a vibrant, welcoming place to call home.”
