You’re invited to celebrate 10 years of inspiring greatness at the Wayne Gretzky Sports Centre

BRANTFORD, ON – The City of Brantford would like to invite members of the media to attend the 10^th Anniversary celebration of the expansive renovation of the Wayne Gretzky Sports Centre on Saturday, October 21, 2023 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Doug “The Great” Hunt will be attempting to break the stilt walking Guinness Book of World Record from 55 feet in the air. Witness the official unveiling of a new Walter Gretzky Public Art installation with artist Karen Roberts at 12:15 p.m. There will be free Ferris Wheel rides all day, a live performance by NBA entertainer Q-MACK, Meet and Greets with PAW PATROL Chase and Skye, and a variety of free recreational programs to showcase all the facility has to offer.

The official ceremony/remarks/etc. will begin at 12:15 p.m.

When: Saturday, October 21 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Stilt Walking Guinness World Record Official Attempt at 1 p.m.

Where: 254 North Park Street, Wayne Gretzky Sports Centre. Limited parking is available on-site.
