You’re invited to celebrate 10 years of inspiring greatness at the Wayne Gretzky Sports Centre
BRANTFORD, ON – The City of Brantford would like to invite members of the media to attend the 10th Anniversary celebration of the expansive renovation of the Wayne Gretzky Sports Centre on Saturday, October 21, 2023 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Doug “The Great” Hunt will be attempting to break the stilt walking Guinness Book of World Record from 55 feet in the air. Witness the official unveiling of a new Walter Gretzky Public Art installation with artist Karen Roberts at 12:15 p.m. There will be free Ferris Wheel rides all day, a live performance by NBA entertainer Q-MACK, Meet and Greets with PAW PATROL Chase and Skye, and a variety of free recreational programs to showcase all the facility has to offer.
The official ceremony/remarks/etc. will begin at 12:15 p.m.
When: Saturday, October 21 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Stilt Walking Guinness World Record Official Attempt at 1 p.m.
Where: 254 North Park Street, Wayne Gretzky Sports Centre. Limited parking is available on-site.
