Brantford Transit introduces enhanced fall schedule
BRANTFORD, ON – The City of Brantford is delighted to announce exciting updates to local transit services, set to take effect on Tuesday, September 5, 2023.
Brantford Transit is committed to providing an enhanced experience for all riders, focusing on improved frequency, reliability, and customer convenience. Starting on September 5, Brantford Transit will implement increased frequencies during the afternoon and early evening hours, from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday to Saturday. Routes 4a, 4c, and 9 will see a frequency upgrade to every 20 minutes, while Route 7 will increase frequency to every 15 minutes. This strategic change is designed to improve reliability and customer satisfaction.
Additionally, in response to the growing demand, Brantford Transit has extended its late afternoon service hours, with hourly evening service commencing at 9:00 p.m., Monday to Saturday. This adjustment accommodates the increased demand observed during the afternoon and early evening hours, ensuring that transit services remain aligned with the needs of our community.
As part of the continuous improvement process, most low-usage bus stops temporarily suspended during the summer will be permanently removed. Brantford Transit will closely monitor customer feedback and demand to optimize the transit experience, ensuring stops align with the preferences and needs of our riders.
In September, Brantford Transit will commence a system optimization study to revamp the entire transit system. The study will entail an assessment of regular and express routes, frequencies, and the provision of transit services to under serviced areas. We look forward to receiving feedback from riders and the community as we strive to improve and rejuvenate Brantford Transit.
