BRANTFORD, ON – The City of Brantford is excited to announce that Trail Mix Live! at the Brantford Farmers’ Market will return this year on select dates between May and September.

This event invites residents and visitors to enjoy free entertainment and live performances from Trail Mix featured artists at the Brantford Farmers’ Market on the following dates from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.:

  • Saturday, May 25
  • Saturday, June 15
  • Saturday, June 29
  • Saturday, July 13
  • Saturday, July 27
  • Saturday, August 10
  • Saturday, August 24
  • Saturday, September 14

On Saturday, May 25, the first 200 guests will receive a complimentary Brantford Farmers’ Market tote bag and a stroopwaffle from Pete’s Bakeshop. Attendees can pick up a complimentary tote bag at the Discover Brantford pop-up booth, while supplies last. Once the initial 200 tote bags have been given out, customers will also have the option to purchase a tote bag, which features the Brantford Farmers’ Market logo. The event will also include free face painting from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

“We are thrilled to be hosting Trail Mix Live! at the Brantford Farmers’ Market again this year,” says Kara Davey, Manager of Tourism, Culture and Sport, City of Brantford. “We invite the market’s loyal customers, new residents, and visitors to come out and enjoy some amazing live entertainment while shopping with our local vendors.”

About Trail Mix

Trail Mix merges local music with Brantford’s beautiful trail system, which spans 70km of natural trails within the city limits. Trail users can look for the signs posted on the kilometre markers along the 10km of trail between Hardy Road and River Road, located behind notable tourism destinations in Brantford including Glenhyrst Art Gallery of Brant, Waterworks Park, Earl Haig Family Fun Park and Brant’s Crossing. Each sign includes a unique QR code to be scanned using a smartphone to gain access to free curated playlists featuring a total of 30 songs from 19 local artists. There are a total of ten playlists along the trail, each with three songs and approximately 10-12 minutes long, which allows the trail user to continue discovering local music during the duration of their hike. About the Brantford Farmers’ Market

Serving Brantford and area since 1848, the Brantford Farmers' Market features products that reflect the diversity of the community. Current offerings include fresh produce, meats, dairy products, flowers, baked goods, prepared foods, crafts, as well as a breakfast and lunch counter serving hot foods. There are 49 indoor stalls open for business all year, with an additional 15 to 20 outdoor stalls that are open during the peak harvest season (May to October).
