The City and Brantford Station Neighbourhood Association host Grand Opening of City View Park

BRANTFORD, ON – The City, in partnership with the Brantford Station Neighbourhood Association, invite residents to the Grand Opening Celebration for the new and improved City View Park, located off McMurray Street, on Saturday, May 7, 2022. This free event will take place from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and include a neighbourhood litter clean-up in partnership with Jane’s Walk, live music, inflatable games, activities, snacks and refreshments, and official ribbon cutting ceremony at 1:00 p.m.

"The Brantford Station Neighbourhood Association is looking forward to seeing residents celebrate with us for fun games, great food and to reconnect with our neighbours," says Chad Martin, Co-Chair of Brantford Station Neighbourhood Association.

New park features include

New playground equipment and swings
Sand play area
Asphalt paved pathways
New seating, picnic tables and bike rack
15 additional trees
Upgraded water service

The event kicks off at 11:00 a.m. with a neighbourhood litter pick-up walk in partnership with Jane’s Walk Brantford at Robert Moore Park, located at 115 Albion Street, with the walk finishing at City View Park. Bags and gloves will be provided. The park celebrations will offer free family-friendly activities including live music, inflatable games, activities, pierogis, cake and more. An official ribbon cutting ceremony takes place at 1 p.m. with Brantford Mayor Davis and ward Councillors John Utley and John Sless.
