Temporary closure of select picnic shelters at Mohawk Park

BRANTFORD, ON – Effective immediately and until further notice, the Mohawk Park picnic shelters A, B, C, D and E, 51 Lynwood Drive, will be closed to the public. As a precautionary measure, City staff have closed these picnic shelter locations to conduct a review of their structural integrity following reported concerns.

Members of the public are asked to obey the posted signage at the Mohawk Park picnic shelters for their own safety and not enter any sections that have been fenced off.

Any confirmed rentals have been contacted and offered alternate locations for their bookings. The Mohawk Park pavilion and picnic shelters F and G are still available to rent.

The City will issue additional updates, including the expected duration of the closure, the week of July 22, 2024, after receiving the inspection report.
