Picnic shelters reopen at Brantford’s Mohawk Park

BRANTFORD, ON – As a precautionary measure and in the interest of public safety, on July 9^th the City closed picnic shelter locations at Mohawk Park (51 Lynwood Drive) to conduct a comprehensive review of their structural integrity following reported concerns.

Today we are pleased to share that effective immediately, picnic shelters A, B, and C at Mohawk Park, have now reopened and that the Mohawk Park pavilion and picnic shelters A, B, C, F and G are available to rent. Shelters D and E remain closed.

The City expresses our gratitude to the public for your patience during the temporary closure and sincerely appreciate the understanding of those whose plans needed to be altered to ensure public safety. Your consideration and cooperation have been invaluable as we worked to address reported concerns and ensure a safe environment for all park visitors.
