FILMING NOTICE - OCTOBER 4-12, 2023

The City of Brantford Economic Development, Tourism & Cultural Initiatives Department is pleased to welcome the cast and crew of Wisteria. They will be filming scenes on at the Sanderson Centre, in 93 Dalhousie Street, and exteriors along the following streets: Darling, Dalhousie, Queen, Colborne, and Market.

The story is a romantic tale following the love of a couple in the face of great tragedy.

Film crews will arrive in Brantford on Wednesday, October 4. Filming will occur from October 4 to 6 and 10 to 12. Filming will simulate a vehicle-pedestrian collision on Queen Street.

The production has notified residents and businesses in the area.

Residents and businesses displaced can reach out to the Location Manager identified at the bottom of the circulated notification letter. In and out access for affected local residents as well as business owners, employees, and customers will be coordinated. Also, regular waste collection will be coordinated for impacted residents and businesses. Support vehicles will be parked in Municipal Parking Lot #4.

Anticipated Impacts

• Special Effects and Noise Exemption

  • No special effects will be used.
  • No excessive noise is anticipated.

• Road, Sidewalk, and Intermittent Traffic (ITC) Closures

  • ROAD CLOSURE: Queen St. on October 5 from 7 am to 11 pm.
  • INTERMITTENT SIDEWALK CLOSURE: in rotating closures about 5-10 minutes each on Darling St. south side along the length of the Sanderson Centre on October 5 and 12 from 7 am to 11 pm.
  • INTERMITTENT SIDEWALK CLOSURE: in rotating closures of about 40-50 metres each for about 5-10 minutes each on Queen St. (east, Dalhousie to Colborne) & Colborne St. (north, Queen to Market) & Market St. (west, Colborne to Dalhousie) & Dalhousie St. (north OR south, Market to Queen) on October 5 and 12 from 7 am to 11 pm.
  • INTERMITTENT SIDEWALK CLOSURE: in rotating closures about 15 minutes each on Dalhousie St. north along the length of the Sanderson Centre on October 5 and 12 from 6 pm to 11 pm.
  • ALLEYWAY CLOSURE: between King St. and Queen St. on October 5 from 7 am to 11 pm.
  • ALLEYWAY CLOSURE: behind the Sanderson Centre and Works Burger on October 12 from 7 am to 11 pm.

  • Darling St. (Queen to Market) on the south side, west of Sanderson Centre to Market St. daily on October 4, 6, 10, and 11 from 7 am to 11 pm.
  • Colborne St. (west of Queen) on the north side from Queen back on Oct. 5 from 7 am to 11 pm.
  • Dalhousie St. on the south side, from Harmony Sq. to Market St. on October 12 from 7 am to 11 pm.
  • Dalhousie St. on the north side, in front of Sanderson Centre on October 12 from 7 am to 11 pm.
