Filming Notice: August 16, 2024

Recognizing how welcoming film contributes to short-term economic investment, cultural development, and civic pride in the community, the City of Brantford Economic Development, Tourism & Cultural Initiatives Department is pleased to host again the cast and crew of Sagia Productions.

They will be filming exterior driving scenes on George St. (Nelson to Dalhousie); Wellington St. (Market to Charlotte); and Darling St. (Market to Charlotte). In addition, the production will complete driving scenes along Colborne St. (Alfred to Peel) and 350 Colborne St. (Kish Auto Centre). Some actors may be carrying prop firearms to complete the scene.

Crews will conducting preparation, filming, and wrap-up activities at the noted locations from Thursday, August 15 to Monday, August 19. Closures are set to occur on the day of filming on Friday, August 16.

Cast and crew will use a portion of the Civic Centre parking lot as their base camp. The former City Hall building at 100 Wellington St. will also serve as additional parking and indoor meal spaces for the crew.

US flags will be flown at 100 and 102 Wellington Street on August 16, 2024.

The production will notify affected residents and businesses in the area. Residents and businesses displaced can reach out to the contact identified at the bottom of the circulated notification letter.

  • Colborne St. (Alfred to Peel)
  • Colborne St. – north lane only for 40 metres west of Alfred

August 16 from 7 am to 1 pm – Local Traffic Only

  • Park Ave. (Dalhousie to East)
  • Alfred St. (Dalhousie to Colborne)

INTERMITTENT TRAFFIC CLOSURE:

August 16 from 7 am to 11 pm

  • Market St. at Wellington St.
  • Market St. at Darling St.
  • Nelson St. at George St. and just east of this intersection
  • Dalhousie St. just east of George St. (NOT to occur between 7 am and 9 am NOR between 4 pm and 6 pm)

August 16 from 8 am to 1 pm (directing possible overflow traffic from Colborne St. closure)
