Filming Notice – April 13-17, 2021

The City of Brantford Economic Development and Tourism Department is pleased to welcome the cast and crew from The Boys to film scenes from an upcoming episode in their fourth season from April 13-17, 2021. They will be filming exterior scenes the night of April 16 at Brantford’s City Hall, located at 100 Wellington Square.

As of April 8, 2021 at 12:01 a.m. Ontario has declared its third state of emergency and Premier Ford has issued a province-wide Stay-at-Home Order for at least 28 days. Under this order, there are no further restrictions to film and television activities.

Throughout this time, commercial film and television production, including all supporting activities such as hair, makeup and wardrobe, is permitted if productions meet the restrictions outlined in the document entitled “Film and Television Industry Health and Safety during COVID-19,” issued by the Film and Television Health and Safety Advisory committee of the Ministry of Labour, Training and Skills Development.   • Road and Sidewalk Closure:
    • Friday, April 16 at 7:00 a.m. to Saturday, April 17 at 7:00 p.m with streetlights turned off and street signs removed
      • Nelson St. (George St. to Charlotte St.)
      • Wellington St. (George St. to Clarence St.)
      • Charlotte St. (Nelson St. to Darling St.)
  • Intermittent Traffic Stoppage: Wellington St. and George St. from 6:00 p.m. on Friday, April 16 to 6:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 17
  • Special Effects: the use of electrical sparks, drones and mock military armed officers and vehicle. The exterior setting will be dressed to look like a military institution.
  • After Hours Filming: After-hours filming with Generators, Crew, Trucks, and Lighting Cranes will be conducted between 7:00 a.m. on April 16 to 7:00 a.m. on April 17.

About the Production

The Boys is an Amazon Original series that features a group of vigilantes determined to take down corrupt superheroes who abuse their superpowers. The show stars Karl Urban, Jack Quaid, Antony Starr and Erin Moriarty.
