COVID-19 preventative measures remain in effect at City facilities
An important reminder to patrons accessing programming and services at City of Brantford facilities to take note that the COVID-19 preventative measures outlined below remain in effect until further notice.
Upon the advice of the Brant County Health Unit Medical Officer of Health (MOH), no patrons outside of the region comprising the City of Brantford, County of Brant and Six Nations of the Grand River are permitted to access recreational services at City of Brantford facilities no matter what colour designation of the Keeping Ontario Safe and Open Framework that patrons outside of our region are travelling from.
Outside Jurisdiction Orders
Individuals who live in other jurisdictions who are already registered to play hockey for a Brantford league/team are permitted to play in City facility rinks. For example, a player who lives in Hamilton (currently in Red-Control) is permitted to play at City arenas ONLY IF he/she is pre-registered and is already on a Brantford team. However, entire teams from other jurisdictions outside our region are not permitted to play in City arenas, no matter what colour designation level the team is travelling from. This also applies in cases where both teams are in the same designation level. For example, an Orange designated team outside of Brantford is not permitted to play an Orange designated team in Brantford.
These orders will be in effect until at least March 19th, 2021 and may be extended beyond that time period based on direction of the MOH.
Wayne Gretzky Sports Centre
Effective March 8, 2021 until further notice, the “outside jurisdiction measure” pertains to all patrons pre-registered in all recreational activities at the Wayne Gretzky Sports Centre including length or shallow water swimming, fitness classes, and weight room and indoor track bookings.
