COVID-19 mandate changes in City facilities effective March 21, 2022
BRANTFORD, ON – Consistent with the updated direction provided by Ontario’s Chief Medical Officer of Health on March 9, effective Monday March 21, 2022, the mandatory masking requirement will be removed for most settings province-wide, with the exception of select settings such as public transit, health care settings, long-term care homes and congregate care settings.
As outlined in Chief MOH Dr. Kieran Moore’s statements, the lifting of restrictions is a result of continued improvement in trends, but is not an indication that the pandemic is over. Rather, the City encourages all residents to remain vigilant and continue practising infection control measures such as passive screening, physical distancing, frequent hand washing and staying home if you are experiencing any COVID-19 symptoms.
City facility mandate changes effective March 21, 2022
While masks are no longer mandated in City facilities at this time, we ask that all visitors to City buildings and public spaces remain kind, considerate and respectful of other people’s choices.
