City of Brantford seeking input for future programs and events

Have your say

BRANTFORD, ON – The City of Brantford, in partnership with Wilfred Laurier University, is encouraging all residents to get involved and share their input on future programming and events and as part of an ongoing effort to keep improving programs, processes and services for Brantford residents.

“The City offers a wide range of great programs and events,” says Aaron Wallace, Director of Community Programs and Social Development. “This information will help us develop and communicate the types of activities that residents are excited to participate in.”

The City is seeking input on:

  • Seniors activities and the Beckett Recreation Centre
  • Family-friendly and children’s activities and programming
  • Youth and teen activities and programming
  • Fitness and recreational programming and the Wayne Gretzky Sports Centre
  • Special events and the Bell Homestead National Historic Site.

The faculty at Wilfrid Laurier University assisted in the survey development and will analyze results received. This research is supported through a grant from Mitacs which connects businesses, non-for-profits, municipalities and hospitals with post-secondary institutions to provide job opportunities for graduate students and bolster innovative Canadian research.

“Input from residents is essential when creating effective programs or events,” says Pamela Bryden, Professor or Kinesiology, and Director of the Sun Life Centre for Healthy Communities.  “We are pleased to be working with the City of Brantford to support the health and well-being of the community.”

For each survey completed, residents have a chance to win a free iPad. The survey closes on Tuesday, February 21, 2023. The results will be shared with the community and inform future programming and events from the City of Brantford.

Residents are encouraged to visit www.letstalkbrantford.ca/cityprogramsandevents to participate.
