City of Brantford’s ongoing response to provincewide shutdown

BRANTFORD, ON – The provincewide shutdown remains in place until at least January 23, 2021. The City’s Emergency Operations Committee (EOC) is following Brantford’s COVID-19 case count very closely and working with local Public Health officials to ensure that required protocols are in place. Residents and businesses play a very significant role in keeping our city safe and we thank those who continue to follow public health guidelines in our community.

Free Parking at the Market Centre Parkade

To help curbside pickup activities and ensure turnover of on-street parking spots for winter maintenance in the downtown, as of January 7, 2021, the City will waive parking fees in the Market Centre Parkade for the month of January. Paid parking in City Lots #3 and #4 and on-street parking by-laws City-wide, including the downtown, are still in effect.  Patrons are reminded to practice physical distancing by parking in alternating spots, when available. Parking enforcement in private lots registered with the City will continue to be enforced.

Parking enforcement provides service that is required to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the City’s road network, and the City encourages that all users maintain safe practices by obeying all parking signage.
