City of Brantford Holiday Season Schedule Changes 2021-22

For the public’s information, the following schedule changes will be in place during the upcoming holiday season.

Customer Contact Centre

The City’s Customer Contact Centre will be open on Friday, December 24, 2021 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. closed from December 25 to 28 and will reopen Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at 8:30 a.m. The Contact Centre will also be closed on Monday, January 3, 2022 and reopen on Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at 8:30 a.m.

Online Services Reminder

Many City services can be requested or addressed using one of our comprehensive online forms, meaning you can conveniently request a City service from the comfort of your home by visiting Brantford.ca/RequestService. If you have any questions, please call us at 519-759-4150.

Garbage and Recycling Collection

Regular garbage and recycling collection will occur on Friday, December 24, 2021 and Friday, December 31, 2021. There will be no collection services on Christmas Day (December 25, 2021) or New Year’s Day (January 1, 2022). Use the Recycle Coach app and never miss another collection. With the easy-to-use calendar you can find your upcoming collection schedule simply by searching your home address.

Christmas tree collection will occur from January 3, 2022 to January 14, 2022. Most wrapping paper is non-recyclable. Only wrapping paper that is 100 per cent plain paper can be recycled. Please place metallic and cellophane wrapping paper in the garbage and not in your blue box.

Please note the schedule outlined below is subject to change depending on any new provincial regulations implemented to mitigate the spread of COVID-19. Any required schedule changes will be communicated to the public accordingly.
