City of Brantford 2023 Remembrance Day schedule changes

BRANTFORD, ON – For the public’s information, the following City of Brantford schedule changes will be in place for Remembrance Day on Saturday, November 11 and on Monday, November 13, 2023. There are no changes to the collection of regularly scheduled garbage and recycling.

Free transportation will be provided by Brantford Transit and Brantford Lift from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for those attending the Remembrance Day Service. You can find updated routes and schedules at Brantford.ca/Transit. Regular service will resume for Monday, November 13.

Brantford City Hall Customer Service at 58 Dalhousie Street will close at 4:30 p.m. on Friday November 10 and reopen on Tuesday, November 14 at 8:30 a.m. During this time, all customer service calls will be routed to the City’s after-hours provider that can be reached by calling the City’s Customer Service number at 519-759-4150. 

Remembrance Day Service and overnight lighting display

An overnight lighting display will take place at the Brant War Memorial and Cenotaph (6 Dalhousie Street) on Friday, November 10 beginning at 6 p.m. until Saturday, November 11 at 7 a.m. A cadet vigil will take place Friday, November 10 from 6 p.m. to midnight, resuming again on Saturday, November 11 from 7 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

Residents are invited to attend the Remembrance Day Service at the Brant War Memorial and Cenotaph (6 Dalhousie Street). Details are online at brantford.ca/RemembranceDay.

Residents are invited to take in a special In Remembrance exhibit at The Brant Museum and Archives (57 Charlotte Street) on Saturday November 11 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is by donation.
