City flags to be lowered in honour of fallen OPP officer

BRANTFORD, ON: The City of Brantford joins municipalities across the country in offering our deepest condolences and sympathies to the family, friends, and colleagues of Ontario Provincial Police Constable Grzegorz Pierzchala, who was tragically killed in the line of duty on December 27, 2022.

Constable Pierzchala’s funeral will take place in his hometown of Barrie on Wednesday January 4, 2023. Flags at all City of Brantford facilities will be lowered to half-mast in his honour tomorrow. 

During this very difficult time, we also want to recognize, and express our sincere gratitude to all first responders who put themselves in harm’s way each and every day in service to their communities.
