Ongoing pothole repairs
The City remains committed to maintaining safe and reliable roads. Crews are working around the clock to address potholes caused by winter’s freeze-thaw cycle, prioritizing high-traffic areas and urgent safety concerns. The City inspects all roads to identify and repair potholes and other damage in accordance with Ontario’s Maintenance Standards, which outline the size of a pothole before repairs are required and the timeframe for completion. More than 600 potholes have already been filled, with only a few outstanding. Repairs are ongoing to prevent further road deterioration and keep streets in top condition.
Planning ahead
Residents, commuters, and businesses are encouraged to consider alternate routes during construction periods and staying up to date on closures by visiting Brantford.ca/RoadClosures. The City appreciates the community’s patience and cooperation as these essential projects are completed, ensuring a stronger and more connected transportation network.
