Brantford’s construction value on pace for an exceptional year
BRANTFORD, ON – The City released its July 2020 Report on Construction Activity demonstrating a construction value of $7.529 million for 109 permits issued. Increases were seen in the Residential (Accessory, Alterations, Additions) sector and Duplex, Triplex, Fourplex (New) sectors of construction.
The largest increase occurred in the Residential sector where a total of 89 building permits were issued for projects with a total construction value of $2.130 million, compared to the same time last year, when there were 59 building permits issued with a construction value of $1.457 million. A slight increase also occurred in the Duplex, Triplex, Fourplex sector with a construction value of $0.329 million
The City’s year-to-date construction value of $158.801 million is above last year’s total of $114.2 million for the same time period.
