Brantford Mayor Kevin Davis

BRANTFORD, ON: On Tuesday April 18, 2023, Brantford Mayor Kevin Davis underwent back surgery to treat “extreme spinal stenosis” in his lower back, which was diagnosed in 2019. The surgery, an “L4-5 bilateral laminectomy with preservation of midline structure” was successful and the Mayor is in good spirits and doing well as he recovers at home. 

“I want to sincerely thank all those who have reached out with their well wishes – it means a lot to me,” says Mayor Davis. I am very relieved to finally have this surgery behind me and expect to return to my Mayoral duties by May 2nd.”

While the Mayor is recovering, Acting Mayor of the Month for April, Councillor Brian Van Tilborg and other members of Council will be available to attend meetings and community events in the Mayor’s place.
