Brantford Emergency Services to conduct training exercise on October 5
BRANTFORD, ON – On Thursday, October 5, 2023, Brantford’s emergency services will be conducting a training exercise in and around the vacant Victoria Academy, located at 40 Richmond Street, between 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. During the training exercise, there will be a significant presence of emergency service vehicles in the area, but there is no risk to public safety.
The following locations will be closed for the duration of the training exercise:
- Albion Street between Richmond Street and Henrietta Street
- Portion of Sydenham Street southeast of the railroad tracks and adjacent to Pearl Street
- Parking spaces on north side of Richmond Street and west side Pearl Street
- Sidewalks on the north side of Richmond Street, west side Pearl Street and east side of Albion Street
Members of the Brantford Police Service will be present to provide perimeter security. Please avoid this area if you are able to do so and adjust your travel routes accordingly.
