Brantford begins annual seasonal street sweeping program

BRANTFORD, ON – The City of Brantford is set to begin seasonal street sweeping operations over the coming weeks to maintain cleaner roadways and prepare for the coming winter season.

This initiative aims to remove sand, debris, and leaves that have accumulated on city streets to help reduce pollutants and minimize urban runoff through the stormwater system. Street sweeping plays a vital role in keeping our roads safe and clean while preventing stormwater drains from clogging. 

To ensure the best possible results, residents are kindly asked to assist by parking vehicles off-street where feasible and removing sports nets from the roadway. Please be aware that any sports nets left on the road may be removed by the City at the owner’s expense.

Safety Reminder for Motorists

Drivers are urged to exercise caution when approaching street sweepers and maintain a safe distance from all equipment to ensure the safety of both operators and other road users.
