All day event at Earl Haig Family Fun Park in honour of National Indigenous Peoples Day

BRANTFORD, ON – The City is pleased to share that Earl Haig Family Fun Park will be the venue for an all-day celebration in honour of National Indigenous Peoples Day, hosted by the Brantford Region Indigenous Support Centre (BRISC) on June 21, 2024, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. The entire facility will be dedicated to this event whereby the general public is welcome to attend and participate in the free festivities. 

Highlights of the event will include performances by Indigenous drummers, singers, and dancers, food stalls, craft booths, various cultural activities, and a lacrosse demonstration.

National Indigenous Peoples Day is an important occasion to pay tribute, reflect on and celebrate the rich and diverse history of Indigenous Peoples in our community. Our thanks to BRISC for providing this wonderful opportunity for the community to come together and celebrate the vibrant and multifaceted heritage of Indigenous Peoples.

Admission is free, though tube rentals and concession foods are not included with admission. The venue has a maximum capacity of 585 people. Please note that all children must be accompanied by an adult.
