City of Brantford and Millards Chartered Professional Accountants recognized at FEO

BRANTFORD, ON- The City of Brantford is proud to recognize Millards Chartered Professional Accountants (Millards) for winning 2024 Sponsor of the Year Award at the Festivals and Events Ontario (FEO) SYNERGY Conference on Wednesday, February 26, 2025. City of Brantford special events staff nominated Millards in recognition of their support for the City’s Scare in the Square event held annually in October.

“Congratulations to Millards on this well-deserved recognition at Festivals and Events Ontario,” says City of Brantford Mayor Kevin Davis. “Their dedication and support have been instrumental in the success of Brantford events, fostering a strong sense of community and connection. Local businesses like Millards are vital partners in bringing these events to life, and we deeply appreciate their ongoing commitment to creating vibrant and memorable experiences for both residents and visitors.”

Millards, a local business in Brantford since 1920, has sponsored Brantford’s Scare in the Square every year since 2008. The annual event brings over 5,000 visitors together to enjoy free, family-friendly activities at Harmony Square and Mohawk Park. In addition, Millards funded $5,000 towards the purchase of a brand new inflatable movie screen used for screenings at Harmony Square’s Movies in the Square. Since 2008, Millards has sponsored approximately $250,000 towards City of Brantford special events.
