Mayor's Economic Recovery Task Force seeks community input

BRANTFORD, ON – The City of Brantford is seeking community input as the Mayor’s Economic Recovery Task Force develops a short-term recovery plan to support local businesses and the employment of our residents.

City Council unanimously approved the formation of the Mayor’s Economic Recovery Task Force during a virtual meeting on Tuesday, May 12, 2020. In response to unprecedented economic hardships faced as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Mayor’s Economic Recovery Task Force will explore and implement solutions to address the ongoing need for crisis management resources for business owners and operators, as well as short-term measures to assist businesses as they reopen, and longer-term capacity-building opportunities to sustain operations.

To begin shaping the City’s economic recovery plan, we welcome the community’s ideas and insights on how the City of Brantford can assist in the economic recovery process for our community.

“I know how resilient our community is and welcome the community’s input to help us recover our economy during these unprecedented times,” said Mayor Kevin Davis. “We are looking for creative solutions to work collaboratively with local businesses and find innovative ways to rebuild our economy.”
