City launches International Women’s Day 2024 campaign to inspire inclusion
BRANTFORD, ON: International Women's Day (IWD) has occurred for over a century with the first gathering held in 1911. The day reflects on and celebrates the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating gender equality. The theme of IWD 2024 is #InspireInclusion. Marked annually on March 8th, International Women's Day (IWD) is an important day to:
- Celebrate women's achievements
- Raise awareness about women's equality
- Lobby for accelerated gender parity
Let’s talk about inspiring inclusion
Today, the City launched a “Let’s talk about inspiring inclusion” campaign on LetsTalkBrantford.ca/InspireInclusion to engage the community in a conversation about how the City, businesses and local organizations can do more to inspire inclusion in Brantford.
