Low-income Health Benefits
Low income individuals can access discretionary certain health benefits without being on social assistance. Providing proof that income is below the Canadian low-income cut-off is required.
Some examples of items that can be covered by this program are:
- Emergency dental
- Emergency prescription drugs
- Dentures
- Vision Care
How to Apply:
Complete the health-related financial assistance online application to apply.
When completing your application, please have ready these items listed below for all family members over the age of 18 living with the applicant:
- Proof of address
- Proof of identification
- Proof of household income (all family members aged 18 and over)
- Notice of Assessment (if not available or income has greatly changed since the prior year, other current documentation can be used. Ex. Paystubs, cheque stubs, bank statements, etc.)
- Professional referral/prescription
- Quotes (if applicable)
- Direct Deposit Information (if applicable)
