North Park Street (Dundas Street/Charing Cross Street) and Owen Avenue - Public Information Centre

The City of Brantford will be reconstructing North Park Street from Dundas Street to Charing Cross Street, and Owen Avenue. The construction will be staged to minimize disruption to area businesses and residents.

The work will include the following improvements:

  • Replacement of the existing watermains;
  • Replacement of the individual water service connections from the watermain to property line;
  • Replacement of the existing storm and sanitary sewers;
  • Replacement of the individual storm and sanitary private drain connections from the sewer to property line; and
  • Replacement of the asphalt roadway, driveway approaches, curb and gutter, and sidewalks.

The construction is tentatively scheduled to commence in April 2017 and be completed by October 2017, with a base asphalt layer on the road.  Toplift asphalt will be placed in 2018.

In advance of construction, we invite the neighbourhood residents to attend a Public Information Centre (PIC) for an opportunity to review the construction plans and construction traffic staging plans.  The PIC has been arranged for:

        Date:            Thursday, March 23rd, 2017, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

        Location:      Cafeteria -  North Park Collegiate and V.S.
