Meetings of the Estimates Committee to consider the City of Brantford's 2018 Operating and Capital Budgets will kick off on Monday November 27th at 4:30 pm with an Opening Presentation by the City's Chief Administrative Officer, Darryl Lee and General Manager of Corporate Services/City Treasurer, Catherine Brubacher. Following the opening presentations, the Committee will hear public delegations.

The City encourages all citizens and organizations to come forward during the Estimates process to identify and speak to community needs though specific requests for municipal funding will not be considered by the Estimates Committee. Requests for funding must be processed through the Brant County Community Foundation. For more information regarding the Brant Community Foundation, please visit brantcommunityfoundation.ca.

Persons wishing to appear as a Delegation are required to complete a Delegation Request Form and return it to the City Clerk's Office no later than 9:00 a.m. on Monday, November 27th. Forms are available on the City's website at: brantford.ca/delegation in the City Clerk's Department at Brantford City Hall or by contacting Charlene Touzel, Deputy Clerk/Manager, Legislative Services at (519) 759-4150 ext. 5714 or by e-mail at ctouzel@brantford.ca.

As there is a strict two-hour time limit for delegations, each delegation will generally have 10 minutes for their remarks, inclusive of questions from Members of the Committee, but where there are more than 12 delegations registered at the meeting, the time for each delegation will be reduced so as to equally divide the two hour time limit among the registered delegations. Registered delegations should be in the Council Chambers by 4:30 p.m. on Monday, November 27th.

The Agendas for next week's meetings, which include a link to the 2018 Budget Worksheet, are available on the City's website at bit.ly/2018BftdEstimates.

All meetings are open to the public. The Estimates Committee will be meeting on the following dates commencing at 4:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers, Brantford City Hall.
