Culture Days

The 9th annual Culture Days weekend will take place across the country on September 28, 29 & 30, 2018.

About Culture Days

The goal of Culture Days is to raise the awareness, accessibility, participation and engagement of Canadians in the arts and cultural life of their communities. Organizations and individuals in Brantford and area are mobilizing to host free participatory public activities that take place throughout the city and surrounding areas.

Virtually any activity is possible during Culture Days - you just need to make sure it's free and the public can participate in some way. Open up your dress rehearsal to visitors, cordon off an area of your parking lot for an enormous chalk mural, open up your studio to show visitors what you create and how you create it, open up your collections storage for a behind-the-scenes tour, or offer a walking tour of your favourite public art - the possibilities are endless!

There is no fee to register. If you have a free participatory or interactive arts or cultural activity (and there's no restrictions on what is "cultural"!) to offer the public during the Culture Days weekend—be it new or something you already have planned—register it at

When you register your activity, you will be asked to provide details (address, time(s), date(s), photos, etc.) and will benefit from a major national marketing and communications campaign, including access to free customizable Culture Days materials to help promote your activity. For best results and to increase the chances of attracting attendance to your activity, consider working collaboratively with others at established attractions around town.
