Brantford Transit Rates

You can use the City of Brantford's transit service by paying a fare or using a pass.  Transit rates are as follows:

• Adult: $3.00
• Seniors: $3.00
• Student: $3.00
• Child (5 to 12 years old): Free
• Child 4 years old & under): Free
• Canadian National Institute For The Blind: $1.75

B-Cards

You can apply for our B-Card. The B-Card is a smart card for our transit service. Once you purchase the card, you can continue adding value to it. B-Cards are available at our kiosk at the Brantford Transit Terminal. The B-Card is an interactive smart card introduced as part of the on-board fare collection system . The same size as a debit or credit card, the same B-Card can be used repeatedly. Value can be added to the B-card by either the staff at the Information Kiosk, or the B-machine located at the downtown terminal (64 Darling Street, phone 519-756-5011).

The B-Card works by “passing” it over the B-Card tag zone area on the new fareboxes, that says “touch here”, in order for the tag zone reader to recognize your card.

There are three types of B-Cards used including Disposable B-Cards, Multi-Value Refillable B-Cards and 31 Day B-Cards. 

Disposable B-Cards

Disposable B-Cards can be filled with two rides for $2.90 per adult ride.

Multi-Value Refillable B-Cards 

A multi-value refillable B-Card requires a one-time $5.75 admin fee.  A charge of $5.75 will be applied for replacement of lost or damaged cards.

31 Day B-Cards

A 31 Day B-Card provides cardholders with unlimited rides for 31 days from the day of purchase. Please note that days are counted even if your pass is not used. Passes require a one-time $5.75 administration fee. A charge of $5.75 applies for the replacement of lost or damaged cards. The owner of the B-Card must be present at the time of purchase as a photo will be taken and applied to the card.

Cash Fare

Cash fare is payable with exact change. No bills or pennies are accepted. Drivers do not carry change.

One Day Passes

• One Day (weekday ONLY) Single-Rider Pass: $9.50 per day, Monday to Friday
• One Day (weekend ONLY) Multiple-Rider (up to 2 adults) Pass: $9.50 per day, Saturday and Sunday
